Antiquite Maison Privee – New Wedding Venue

On Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, Party of 2 was honored to be asked to the soft launch opening of Antiquite Maison Privee as they opened their doors to showcase their charming establishment as a venue for special occasions in anticipation of their grand opening scheduled for March or early Spring 2010. This classic, 1920 mid-town Sacramento Mediterranean styled décor building is home to the exclusive antique collection furnished by Michael Forbes,long-time Sacramento art and antique collector and is located at 2114 P Street. The name of Maison Privee, means “Private House”, but the point of this building is to be shared, as it will easily accommodate wedding parties of up to 100 guests with dancing! The Antiquite will also host all other private social parties, corporate meetings, and other social gatherings.

The many charms and the distinctive intimacy and warmth of the room were apparent when Party of 2 arrived. We were warmly greeted by our hostess, Kisty Rose and a glass of Champagne, poured by the friendly crew from BarMasters, which helped after coming in from the rain! The furnishings of the room as seen in these pictures speak for themselves and would add so much to any event. We spent much of our time talking to other vendors, Carmen, of Carmen Salazar Photography, Katy Baker of Adagio Wedding & Events, and one of our favorite caterers, Griselda of Griselda’s Catering who served us all with her delectable signature appetizers and yummy chocolate chip cookies!

This venue has flexible price points to offer and includes some of the rentals as well. In addition, they are looking into other value added components to enhance the experience. We look forward to recommending the Maison Privee to our clients looking for that unique vintage experience with a touch of elegance too boot!
