Flowers by the Season

Isn’t the best part about spring the plethora of blooming flowers? It seems like the whole city is abloom this week and I couldn’t be happier about it. Which got me thinking…
It’s easy as a bride to over-think a wedding theme or agonize over perfect color palettes. Why not focus on an element as simple and timeless as a single species of flower? From stationary to your wedding cake, there are plenty of places to showcase your bloom of choice.
To celebrate the arrival of spring, I thought it’d be fun to draft up some inspiration boards based entirely around a single seasonal bloom. There are tons of amazing flowers in season in spring, but my ultimate favorites are ranunculus, anemone, and peonies.
Ranunculus
Ranunculus are in season February-May and make such a joyful statement. They come in a rainbow of colors, so the sky’s the limit when it comes to palette choices. Personally, I love these shades of yellow, pink, and white.
Anemone
Anemone is the perfect flower for a bride who loves soft, romantic style but isn’t keen on pastels. This bloom is in season January-May and is available in vibrant blue and red hues, as well as pink and white.
Peony
For the bride who embraces all things romantic and feminine, peonies are the perfect choice. In season from late spring through early summer, peonies come in white and many shades of pink.
Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine!
