Hello brides! I hope you enjoyed last week’s do-it-yourself embossing post. I love hand-made items and will have plenty more tutorials in the coming months to get your creative juices flowing. But of course, there are plenty of ways to incorporate hand-made items into your wedding without actually having to put sweat into it. Enter Etsy, the most fantastic online shopping site ever.
If you’re not familiar with Etsy, allow me to introduce you. The site’s motto, “Buy, Sell, and Live Handmade” pretty much sums up their mission. From clothing to jewelry, house wares to paper goods, etsy.com is loaded with amazing, inspired, and finely crafted merchandise made by small business owners and home-based crafters throughout the country.
There’s far too much on the site for me to cover in one post, but they have a handy Wedding Category that groups together items brides are looking for.
Here are some of my favorite pieces:
If you’re looking for the perfect accent for your hair, your gown, or your bridesmaids, check out the Accessories section under the Weddings tab. They have tons of options. This one is one of my favorites.
There’s something about a hand-painted sign that feels so festive. Set the mood as your guests arrive with an elegant statement.
Veils, garters, umbrellas and more await you in Etsy’s accessories section. I just about died when I saw this shrug. Makes me wish I’d had a spring wedding in Tahoe, where the sun is shining but it’s just chilly enough to need a second layer.
Who says you have to stop at wedding items? On etsy.com, you can stock up on goods for your new marital digs and add a touch of whimsy with one-of-a-kind designs.
