Summer 2011 Wedding Trends, from what we have begun to see and hear, Party of 2 can only draw one conclusion,…it’s wide open. However, we have picked up on a few items that while some say are 2011 trends they seem to ring tried and true!
Here goes:
Personal Themes: So what we mean by that is some couples are opting to forgo the “theatrics” and choosing venues or locations that have real meaning for them. Infusing themselves into their event rather than letting the event take over. They are accomplishing this by finding their favorite color of blue, having the wedding in their favorite park or at the local zoo, or that spot at the beach they went to every year during summer vacation.
Our favorite location in this picture was taken by Donna Beck Photography at Chateau Legnon, where Party of 2 just happens to be site coordinators for. So we are a little biased! Does this mean you can’t use that lavish ballroom in your favorite city? No Way, just remember to “personalize” your other décor and the experience for your guests and you will make it your own!
What’s new is old and what’s old is new: Victorian styles and lace is back again..as if it ever went out of style! For those who really want to take it to the extreme, here is something from Etsy to ponder on!

Going over the Rainbow with Cake!: We’ve been seeing this trend rev-up for some time now! From dessert bars, to cupcakes, to ice cream, to the new cake pop sensation, couples want to wow their guests with choices to tickle their sugar fancy!
